Hauntings
Ghost
A Ghost is thought to be a disembodied soul of a spirit or deceased person. Unfinished business, seeking justice, being close to a loved one, or fearing what comes next are some of the reasons they remain earthbound.
Intelligent Hauntings
Also known as:
Conscious Hauntings
Active Hauntings
Classic Hauntings
Traditional Hauntings
Interactive Hauntings
An Intelligent haunting involves a ghost or spirit that interacts with the physical world and understands what's going on around them. They remain attached to the earth due to unfinished business, to watch over loved ones or possessions they've left behind, guilt, fear of moving on, or simply because they are unaware that their physical body has passed. Intelligent or interactive spirits that haven't crossed over retain all their emotions, personality, and ego. A lot of times the condition of the person before passing will be retained as long as they remain trapped in the physical world.
Residual Hauntings
Also known as :
Psychic Impression
Energy Imprint
Residual hauntings are the most common. The ghost or spirit is seen doing the same thing over and over, similar to a video tape being rewound and continuing to play over and over again. This type of ghost never responds to the present environment, because it's an energy imprint of an emotional or traumatic event that has been recorded into the atmosphere of a location. It's possible that the imprint was recorded on the property before the current building was ever built, or in a previous building that sat on the same location.
Non Human Hauntings
Also known as:
Inhuman Hauntings
Demonic Hauntings
This type of haunting is always malevolent and often times brought on by the use of oujia boards, black magic or satanic worship. Entities involved in this type of haunting were never human. They are both dangerous and can cause you harm.
